PURPOSE: Manual tungsten inert gas (TIG) arc welding apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to weave only arcs by using an electromagnet instead of weaving the entire TIG torch in TIG arc welding. CONSTITUTION: Manual TIG arc welding apparatus includes a torch part (21), a power conversion part (11), a switching part (12), an electromagnetic force generation part (13), a control part (14), an input part (15), and a display part (16). The torch part generates an arc with inert gas and power supplied from a welding machine. The power conversion part converts alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC) power. The switching part switches current direction of actuating power converted into DC power from the power conversion part. The electromagnetic force generation part weaves the arc generated from the torch part. The control part controls the switching part to weave the arc. The input part receives weaving information from a user. The display part displays the weaving information inputted through the input part.
