PURPOSE: A cartridge type wiper apparatus for blocking the cooling water of rolling work roll is provided to increase the efficiency for removing the sprayed coolant to a work roll, improve the quality of steel sheet, and follow the roll at the time of the roll shift and the roll crown. CONSTITUTION: A cartridge type wiper apparatus for blocking the cooling water of rolling work roll includes a wiper scraper, a rearward supporter (12), a thin film spring (19), and a cartridge. The wiper scraper of synthetic resin material has an inclined surface for removing coolant by contacting with a work roll. The rearward supporter supports the wiper scraper at the rearward. The thin film spring pushes so that the wiper scraper maintains the adhesive state regardless of the diameter or the position of work roll. The cartridge receives the thin film spring, and to which the other end of the thin film spring is fixed.
