<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device which delivers two-component developer in two developer conveying paths arranged in an up-and-down direction, where the developer is delivered to the upper developer conveying path from the lower one with compact constitution in such a state that stress given to developer is made small. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing device, the developer is circularly conveyed through the upper developer conveying path 2a in which a supply screw 4 is housed and the lower developer conveying path 2b. In order to convey the developer from the lower developer conveying path 2b to the upper developer conveying path 2a, a developer conveying means 8 equipped with a paramagnetic substance part 8a arranged obliquely to a rotary shaft 4a of the supply screw 4 and a non-magnetic substance part 8b is provided on the rotary shaft 4a, and a permanent magnet 9 is provided near the developer conveying means 8. In the developer conveying means 8, one end face of the paramagnetic substance part 8a approaches to the permanent magnet 9 as the other end face thereof approaches to the lower developer conveying path 2b, and the one end face separates from the permanent magnet 9 as the other end face approaches to the upper part of the upper developer conveying path 2a by rotation of the rotary shaft 4a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
