<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a musical score which allows a user to read syllable names reasonably, even when a music piece is modulated in the middle. <P>SOLUTION: When a syllable name read change point is indicated on musical score display, and read change (transition) is indicated while a note to be changed in syllable names is selected, command execution of " read change setting" is instructed (S61). In the command of "read change setting", own scale is determined from a tonic and a scale constituting note number at that time, and the scale other than that is displayed as a syllable name candidate after the read change (S62). According to selection (S63) of the syllable name to be newly changed to read in the syllable name candidates after the read change, the syllable name of that note is changed. Moreover, a new tonic is calculated from the syllable name selected in S63, and is stored as read change information of the note (S64).
