The method involves forming right stitches (d, h, l, p, t, x, A, E, I, M, Q, U, Y) on a front needle bed (V) with needles, which have left stitches (b, f, j, n, r, v, z, C, G, K, O, S, W). The right stitches are transferred to a rear needle bed (H). The transferred stitches are placed back on rising needles. The left stitches are formed on the front bed and/or the rear bed, and the right stitches are transferred to the latter needle bed. The transferred stitches are placed back on the rising needles. The formation of the right and left stitches on the front bed and/or the rear bed is repeated. An independent claim is also included for a tubular knitted article comprising stitches. |
