<p>An elasticated net comprising a plurality of absorbent long chain warp yarns knitted with elasticated weft yarns. The warp yarn may have an average absorbency of 30000-36000 cc/kg. The warp yarn may be a polyester blend. The blend may comprise polyester, polyacrylate and a cross linked polymer of acrylic acid, methylacrelate and an acrylate/methacrylate monomer. The weft yarn may be food grade natural latex, silicone rubber or polyisoprene. The weft yarn may have a square or rectangular cross section. The net may be a food wrapping net or a surgical net for holding dressing and bandages in place.</p> |
