<p>A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion provided with a center main groove (3), a pair of shoulder main grooves (4), a pair of center portions (5) between the center and the shoulder main grooves, a pair of shoulder portions (6) between the shoulder main groove and tread edges, wherein each center portion is provided with center lateral grooves (7) and center lateral sipes (8), both extending from the shoulder main groove toward the axially inside of the tire without reaching the center main groove so as to have an axially inner end thereof on the center portion, and making an angle of from 35 to 65 degrees with respect to the axial direction of the tire; and a center longitudinal sipe (9) connecting circumferentially adjacent center lateral grooves and being separated from the axially inner edge of the center portion an axial distance of from 20 to 40 % of the width (L1) of the center portion.</p> |
