PURPOSE: A tuner module using a look up table is provided to calculate an optimal received signal strength indication (RSSI) value by comparing a measured auto gain control (AGC) value with a lookup table, thereby producing a precise RSSI value. CONSTITUTION: An auto gain control (AGC) detection unit (221) detects a signal which is provided by a radio frequency (RF) amplifier circuit (210), and converts the detected signal into an AGC signal according to the level of the detected signal. A received signal strength indication (RSSI) threshold generating unit (223) compares the detected AGC value which is detected by the AGC detection unit with a lookup table (LUT), and produces an optimal table value. An analog to digital converter (ADC) (222) converts an output RSSI value which is output from the RSSI threshold generating unit into a digital signal.
