PURPOSE: A position based service providing method about a group mobile terminal and a mobile terminal thereof are provided to provide a position based service about a mobile terminal group which includes multiple mobile terminals. CONSTITUTION: An alarm area module (102) stores alarm area information. The alarm area information includes attendance area information of geographic position base. An attendance observation module (103) records attendance information when a mobile terminal initially enters an attendance area. The attendance observation module transmits the attendance information to a group position based service server. The attendance observation module activates a selection menu which can select a deviation item when deviating from the attendance area. The attendance observation module records the deviation item which is inputted through the selection menu. The attendance observation module transmits the deviation item to the group position based service server.
