PURPOSE: A mood lamp system for an automobile is provided to improving passenger convenience and comfortableness by automatically deciding whether a light needs to be turned on or not based on sensors which sense objectives existing in an automobile including passengers. CONSTITUTION: A MCU (100) determines whether there is an object within an automobile or not by controlling sensor modules (500) installed within the automobile and controls mood lamps in the automobile and their operating time by controlling light-emitting modules (700) based on the information sent by the sensor modules. Receiving power from an external power supply (S), a power supply module (300) supplies driving power to the MCU and prevents the MCU from sustaining damage due to the voltage fluctuation of the power from the external power supply (S). In response to the control of the MCU, the sensor modules sense the movements of an object in the automobile and send the result to the MCU.
