[Class 23] The upper portion 6 of the casing of a cyclone separator is conical with an included angle of 20 degrees and the portion 7 adjacent the apex is conical with an included angle of 60 degrees. The casing may comprise a series of conical portions which increase in angularity towards the apex. In place of conical surfaces, the surface may be generated by a curved line concave towards the axis, or the apical portion only may be so generated. Specification 601,063 is referred to.
