SHAFT ARRANGEMENT HAVING A SHAFT WHICH EXTENDS WITHIN A FLUID-FILLED CASING

The arrangement has a shaft (7) extended within a casing (1) filled with fluid and actuated by a drive i.e. motor (8), that is driven outside the casing. The shaft includes a spindle-shaped outline contour of an outer peripheral surface and a surface structure that conveys the fluid in a flow direction (30) in a longitudinal direction of the shaft during rotation. A sleeve (19) is rotated with the shaft, and is mounted in a bearing (21) e.g. hydrodynamic bearing. A conveying element (20) conveys the fluid in a counter flow direction (24) located opposite to the flow direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a shaft arrangement.
