The invention relates to a roof(1 8) construction for a building either self-supporting or supported by perimeter walls(1 3), that may enclose other buildings and is constructed by attaching(4) tiles(2) to frames(1 (1a)) and frames(1 (1 a)) to other frames(1 (1a)), with a gap filing material(3) where frames meet frames for cushioning and watertight sealing, in such a way that the tiles lay edge to edge, do not overlap and form one continuous roof, to allow collection of rainwater into storage tanks(1 1) via guttering(9) attached to the roof(1 8), and that has some or all of its tiles transparent(2(2a)) to allow sunlight in through the roof, to allow the growing of plants(7) within the building. |
