A motorcycle tire is provided that enables enhancement of both grip performance and traction performance during cornering while maintaining ride comfort and steering stability; the tire comprises a tread portion (2), a carcass (6), a band layer (9), wherein the the band layer (9) includes a crown band portion (10) disposed in a central region; a pair of shoulder band portions (12); and a pair of middle band potions (11) disposed between the crown band portion (10) and the shoulder band portions (12), respectively; the middle band portions (11) each have a density of band cord(s) which is increased as compared to a density of band cord(s) of each of the crown band portion (10) and the shoulder band portions (12); the tread rubber (2G) includes a crown rubber portion (13) disposed in a central region, and a pair of shoulder rubber portions (14) having a loss tangent tan´ that is greater than that of the crown rubber portion (13). |
