The fuel injection valve has movable control valve element (30) that is arranged in control valve chamber (22) of control valve (20). An inlet throttle (27) and outlet throttle (28) are provided between control valve chamber and a high pressure area (6), and between the control valve chamber and a low pressure chamber (24). The control valve element is designed as a rocker arm to close inlet throttle and to open outlet throttle in one switching position and to open inlet throttle and to close outlet throttle in another switching position.
