RETARDATION FILM, BOTTOM PLATE POLARIZER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Retardation film, a bottom plate polarizer comprising the film and a liquid crystal display are provided to arrange the retardation film combined between a lower polarizing plate and a vertically aligned panel or use protecting film in the lower part of the lower polarizing plate for preventing a light from leaking and increasing a contrast ratio. CONSTITUTION: Retardation film is comprised of the first retardation film fit in (Nz>Nx=Ny, -200nm<=Rth<=-50nm) and the second retardation film fit in (Nx>Ny>Nz, 50nm<=Rth<=150nm, 1<=NAZ<=2). The Nx is the refractive index which is the largest in refractive rates on a surface. The Ny is the refractive index which is an right angle to the Nx. The Nz is the refractive index which is a right angle to the surface. The Rth and the NAZ are described into the formula 1 (Rth= ( ( (Nx+Ny)/2)-Nz)xd) and 2 (NAZ= (Nx-Nz)/ (Nx-Ny)). The d means the thickness of the film the Rth (λ) is the retardation value toward the thickness direction the λnm.
