PURPOSE: A thermoelectric module and a method for manufacturing the thermoelectric module are provided to improve heat transfer performance by reducing the number of layers formed at both ends of the thermoelectric module. CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer is formed in one surface of a metal substrate. A lower electrode (122) is formed on the insulating layer. A P-type thermoelectric element (151) is formed on the lower electrode. An N type thermoelectric element (152) is formed on the lower electrode. The P-type thermoelectric element and the N type thermoelectric element are serially formed in an upper electrode (121).
