PURPOSE: A segment for continuous casting and a continuous casting method using the same are provided to minimize center segregation and center pores on slab and effectively reduce the slab. CONSTITUTION: A segment for continuous casting comprises upper and lower frames(100,200) and upper and lower guide rolls. The upper and lower frames are vertically separated from each other so that slab(5) is led into between the upper and lower frames. The upper and lower guide rolls are respectively installed in the upper and lower frames, facing each other, and reduce the slab led into between the upper and lower frames. The upper and lower guide rolls have a central region(P1) having a uniform diameter and an edge region(P2) having a diameter increasing outward. |
