PURPOSE: A welded joint of a steel structure and a formation method thereof are provided to minimize the occurrence of contraction after welding by forming a supporting unit which supports a welded beveled joint unit and to improve the intensity of the welded joint unit by welding a beveled joint unit and then the supporting unit. CONSTITUTION: A welded joint of a steel structure (100) comprises a first base member (10) and a second base material (20). The first base material has a first joint surface (13) fixed on the second base material. The first joint surface includes a beveled joint unit inclinedly formed in a second joint surface (21) on the second base material and a supporting unit (15) which is more thickly formed than the beveled joint unit. A first welding unit is formed between the beveled joint unit and the second joint surface. A second welding unit is formed between the supporting unit and the second joint surface. The first welding unit is thicker than the second welding unit.
