The imbalance measuring device has a spindle unit (7) fitted with a spindle holder (29) and a spindle (11) which is driven by an electric motor (5), a sensor device (61) asociated with the support mounting (49) for the spindle unit, for measuring the imbalance force in a given direction upon rotation of the spindle. The spindle unit and the electric motor are provided as a pre-assembled group, the support mounting and the sensor device provided as a second pre-assembled group, with releasable coupling elements for assembly of the 2 pre-assembled groups.
