ATHERMAL AWG MODULE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A temperature independence type arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) module and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to maintain an ideal focal point of an AWG module despite of variation of temperature and to be applicable to the entire temperature range, channel number, bandwidth and wavelength spacing. CONSTITUTION: A temperature independent type AWG module is formed by two sub chips formed by cutting an AWG chip (10) to make a gap between waveguide and slab waveguide or a slab waveguide be cut into a curved line. At least one of the two sub chips is rotationally moved along the cut curved line to cancel refractive index variation with temperature.
