PURPOSE: Emergency escape control system and method capable of determining the malfunction by the operation of a non-power evacuation elevator are provided to enable an administrator to rapidly arrange the follow-up action. CONSTITUTION: An emergency escape control system includes plural emergency evacuation control units(100) and a central control unit(200). The emergency evacuation control units are installed on emergency escape space(S) on each level of a building including a non-power evacuation elevator(300). The emergency evacuation control units monitor the operation of the non-power evacuation elevator. The emergency evacuation control units include elevator sensors(150), alarm broadcasting units(160), an information communicating unit(180), and a controller(C). The central control unit can communicate with each emergency evacuation control unit.
