PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device equipped with the same are provided to prevent unevenness in brightness and light leaking defect followed by align defect of general backlight unit by forming a lower pad electrode to compensate wire breakage between an upper pad electrode and a line and by connecting the lower pad electrode electrically with the upper pad electrode through the first hole and the second hole. CONSTITUTION: A couple of electrodes of multiple light emitting diodes [LEDs] are electrically connected to a couple of pads on a flexible printed circuit board [FPCB]. Each pad of the FPCB contains upper pad electrodes (230) with a base film (210) in between and a lower pad electrode (240). The upper pad electrode and the lower pad electrode are connected to each other by holes (271,273). The lower pad electrode is electrically connected to a line to compensate wire breakage of the upper pad electrode and the line. |
