PURPOSE: A conversion method is provided to enable tracking on three dimensional drawing information in a three dimensional drawing system. CONSTITUTION: A drawing approval procedure, or a PLM approval life cycle, comprises a working step, a signout step, an offboard step, and a release step. In the working step (0-150), the design of a drawing is made. The signout step (200-500) includes design and functional review, designer check, design approval, and final review. The offboard step (600-800) includes configuration management and final confirmation. In the release step (900), which is the final step, an engineering release and an engineering release list about the drawing are prepared.
