PURPOSE: A portable computer is provided to reduce battery consumption, by minimizing function of the computer. CONSTITUTION: A central processing unit (CPU) (120) controls and operates elements of the portable computer, a random access memory (RAM) stores data generated during program execution of the CPU and data transmitted through a transceiver part (110). A read only memory (ROM) has a program required in driving the computer, and the transceiver part performs data transmission and receiving with an external device. A key input part (130) is operated according to every kind of instruction inputted to the CPU, and an output part is constituted with a touch panel inputting data or operation instruction to the computer.
