<p>PURPOSE: An input device and an input method thereof are provided to enable wireless input from a mobile terminal through pairing with the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: An input device comprises a local communication unit (110), a storage unit (120), a touch screen (130), a docking unit (140), and a control unit (150). The local communication unit communicates signals with a mobile terminal by local area wireless communication, and the storage unit stores data necessary for the operation of user interface. The touch screen displays the stored user interface, detects a touch input, and transmits the input to the control unit. The docking unit communicates data with a docking terminal connected through a preset terminal, and the control unit performs the role of a processor which controls all other components, i.e. the local communications unit, the storage unit, the touch screen, and the docking unit.
