PURPOSE: An electronic device for device information negotiation and a method thereof are provided to negotiate device information between multiple devices and to optimally utilize a different device in an application implemented in the electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A device information communications unit (120) is connected with a second electronic device through wire and wireless communications. A device information negotiation unit (130) receives device information of the second electronic device. The device information negotiation unit generates integrated device information using searched device information of the electronic device and the device information of the second electronic device. A device interworking unit (140) sets integrated setting information in generated integrated device information. The device interworking unit operates by connecting with the second electronic device using the integrated setting information.
