PURPOSE: A panoptic visualization document navigation is provided to enable a user to observe and navigate a page as if it is done in a physical world, without physical space request related with large collection of the page. CONSTITUTION: A navigation engine (402) includes medium contents, and receives layout of document configuration element of panoptic visualization document collection having document configuration elements having related meta data providing information about document configuration element. The layout includes panoptic arrangement of visual expression of document configuration element of the layout according to the related meta data of the document configuration element. The navigation engine selects navigation option to navigate visual expression of the layout, and communicates the selected navigation option.
