PURPOSE: A dual bearing reel is provided to cover a rotary operation handle with a handle by arranging the rotary operation handle in the axis direction of the handle, thereby preventing a sense of incongruity when palming by contacting a user’s palm on the handle. CONSTITUTION: A dual bearing reel comprises: a frame (5); a first cover (6a) having a concave part and a circular opening part formed in the concave part, and comprising an outside of 3-dimensional curved surface, and covering a first side of the frame; a second cover (6b) covering a second side of the frame; a reel body (1) installed to be rotated corresponding to the first cover, and having an axis supporting part (7) comprising a handle (34a) arranged by hanging on both sides of the opening part; a handle equipped to be rotated on the reel body in the second cover side; a spool axis (16) whose one end is supported on the axis supporting part; a spool (12) equipped on the spool axis, and rotating by the handle’s rotation; and a rotary operation handle (42) protruded from the opening part of the first cover, and arranged in the position where the handle is hanging both external sides of the axis direction by sharing the same center with the spool axis.
