PURPOSE: A roll skew control device and a method thereof are provided to facilitate the precise measurement of roll skew value and to minimize a camber by minimizing an effect by the foreign materials around a sensor. CONSTITUTION: A roll skew control device includes first and second metal bars, an eddy-current sensing part (40), and a control part (50). First and second metal bars are adhered to one side of roll chock (16) to which upper and lower work rolls (12,13) are coupled. The eddy-current sensing part measures the distance from the fixed location to the first and second metal bars. The control part determines the rolls skew based on the distance variation information which is sent from the eddy current sensing part, and controls the alignment of work roll based on the resulted roll skew value.
