PURPOSE: A lithium titanium oxide is provided to increase electrode density and to improve charging and discharging capacity. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a lithium titanium oxide comprises a step of preparing a titanium compound structure by controlling density and structure of a titanium compound; and a step of mixing the titanium compound structure and lithium compound, and conduct a reaction of the mixture. In a step of manufacturing the titanium compound structure, titanium compound is pulverized, dried, and heat-treated. The titanium compound is selected from TiO2, TiH2, TiCl4, TiN, C12H28O4Ti, and a combination thereof. An electrode for a lithium secondary battery includes the manufactured lithium titanium oxide.
