PURPOSE: A waiting line detection system is provided to accurately calculate the length of the waiting line of vehicles and a vehicle number by correcting errors of position information using the speed information of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A radar detector emits a ray to vehicles on a road. The radar detector detects a position of the vehicles. A correcting device(8) calculates a position of the vehicle at an unmarked section. A speed calculating module(82) calculates the speed of the vehicle based on vehicle position data. The speed calculating module calculates the corrected speed at the unmarked section. A signal strength determination module(84) calculates the unmarked section. A correction module(86) recalculates the position of the vehicle.
