PURPOSE: An image sensor and operating method thereof are provided to simply remove fixed pattern noise generated in analog short circuit by additional circuits. CONSTITUTION: A counter circuit (400) is supplied with output images from a pixel array (100), and coverts image signals into digital data. A standard signal used for the comparison operation of the counter circuit is supplied to one end of switches of an adjustment circuit (200). The other ends of the switches are connected to a row line (220) or a column line (210). A controller (500) generates control signals which operates the switches in a row line, and detects noise generated from a plurality of comparators (401, 402).
