PURPOSE: A liquid crystal defect inspecting device and an inspecting method thereof are provided to improve the defect detecting capacity by reflecting a brightness difference between pixels according to inversion properties. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal defect inspecting method includes the following steps of: acquiring a surface image of a liquid crystal display (LCD) (S210); dividing the surface image into first and second division images (S220); producing first brightness data by measuring the brightness of the first division image (S230); producing second brightness data by measuring the brightness of the second division image (S235); producing brightness matching data by matching the first and second brightness data (S240); and detecting defects of a liquid crystal display module by using the brightness matching data (S250).
