PURPOSE: A laundry amount sensing device of a drum washing machine is provided to accurately calculate the amount of laundry inserted into the drum by calculating the amount of the laundry according to the sensed air pressure. CONSTITUTION: The laundry sensing device of a drum washing machine includes a memory unit(50), an output unit(40), a control unit(30), and a pressure sensing unit(10). The pressure sensing unit senses the air pressure of a damper supporting the drum. The control unit calculates the amount of laundry by using the deviation value of reference pressure and air pressure. The output unit outputs the amount of the calculated laundry.
