摘要 <p>The invention relates to an ultralight barrel made of composite materials intended to fit out the 82 mm bomb thrower, which is made using inorganic resin-reinforced alumina fibres, the barrel being by 50% lighter than the standard barrel made of steel, thereby determining an increase of firing capacity due to the increased amount of ammunition that can be carried with the equipment, while the resistance of the barrel composite materials to temperatures of more than 1100°C leads to a firing rate increased up to 30 stroke/min in the first two minutes, followed by a rate of 15 stroke/min for an indefinite period of time. According to the invention, the barrel consists of a steel tube () having the role of a drift, made of the same steel class as the standard barrel, on which there are wound the inorganic resin-reinforced alumina fibres () for thermal protection in the high temperature zone of the steel tube () and ester cyanate-type resin-reinforced carbon fibres () for providing the barrel mechanical resistance to strain due to the pressure inside the tube, the barrel being connected to the thrower breech by means of a thread () cut into the barrel after the winding thereof with the two above-mentioned fibre types.</p>
