The panel (1) has a particle material layer (2) including mineral particles, and arranged between two fabric layers (3, 3') including mineral fibers such as basalt, glass, silica, and/or thermostable polymer-based fibers such as thermostable polymer polyamide-imide, aramid and/or polyacrylate. The mineral particles are based on a material chosen from vermiculite, alumina and perlite. The mineral particles are selected from solid particles, powdery particles, or hollow particles, and hollow spherical particles. One of the fabric layers is a non-woven fabric layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a panel.
