PURPOSE: A structure for protecting an expansion joint is provided to previously prevent the damage of a corrugated unit of the expansion joint and to maintain the quality. CONSTITUTION: A structure for protecting an expansion joint comprises a plate(100), a belt unit(200), a connecting member(300), and a fixing member(400). The belt unit is fixed in an upper belt connecting each upper part of a plurality of plates and each lower part of the plates and includes one or more lower belts connecting each lower part of the plates. The connecting member integrally connects the plate, the upper belt, and the lower belt. The fixing member can detachably fix both ends of the belt unit.
