PURPOSE: An image forming device and a method for performing an error alarm and recovery function in the same are provided to recover error by detecting the error with control of sub-processors. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of sub-processors controls units in an image forming device. A main processor(200) controls the sub-processors. One or more sub-processors include an error detection unit(1001), an interface control unit(1002), an error alarm unit(1003), and an error recovery unit(1004). The error alarm unit outputs information for a detected error. The error recovery unit recovers the detected error by controlling an operation of the main processor.
