The shower basin has a base surface (10) which partially has a gradient opposite to the horizontal in the assembled condition and is disposed at an area over a run-off edge (15), where the basin edges (12,13) are disposed over the respective level of the base surface. One of the basin edges has an upper edge which is horizontally provided in the installation condition and is open-worked only in the area of the run-off edge by a run-off opening. The base surface is an uniformly flat base which is optionally provided with one or more edges emerging to the run-off edge. An independent claim is included for a run-off device with a wall opening.
