Composition comprises animal grease, preferably food tallow, at least a vegetable oil, paraffin oil, petroleum jelly, and at least an active component adapted to confer an odor and/or a color to the hooves on which composition is applied. An independent claim is included for preparing composition comprising mixing at least a vegetable oil and paraffin oil to form a mixture A, heating the mixture A at a temperature of 50-90[deg] C, adding the animal grease and petroleum jelly under agitation until animal grease and petroleum jelly are dissolved in mixture A to form a mixture B, cooling the mixture B at a temperature of lower than 60[deg] C, adding the active component, an vegetable origin oil and/or an animal origin oil to the mixture B under agitation to form the composition, and conditioning the composition in a packaging container.
