The device (1) has an elastically deformable reception unit (7) i.e. gripper, with two branches (8) to receive a rod (4). An end (9) of each branch has an end stop projection (10) to allow movement of the rod between a position in a bottom (11) of the unit and a position against the projection. A gap formed between the branches in the bottom corresponds to a section of the rod to allow tight fitting of the rod. The gap progressively reduces from the bottom such that the rod is elastically returned toward the bottom when force tending to move the rod away from the bottom is exerted on the rod.
