<p>The invention relates to a device for checking the oxidising power of a body of water, which is useful in particular for adjusting the amount of chlorine in the water of a swimming pool according to the detected oxidising power of the water in a pipe for recirculating water in a closed loop with the swimming pool. The device is suitable for applying a flow rate measurement to a current of circulating water in order to adjust an amperometric measurement of the oxidising power of the circulating water. The amperometrically measured oxidising power measured is corrected in accordance with the results of the flow rate measurement. According to the invention, an amperometric sensor means and a flow rate sensor means, advantageously operating electromagnetically, are built into a single probe housing which is mounted laterally in a pipe for circulating the water to be analysed through the wall of said pipe so as to submerge all of the sensor means in the water circulating through said pipe.</p> |
