PURPOSE: A refrigerator mounted with an apparatus for expelling harmful insect is provided to automatically operate an ultrasonic generator and an ultra-violet ray sterilization lamp by considering the use temperature, humidity, and use illumination of surrounding refrigerator, the opening of door, compressor operation condition, and the like. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator mounted with an apparatus for expelling harmful insect includes a sensing unit(20) and a control unit(30). The sensing unit includes a temperature sensor(21), a humidity sensor(22), a door sensing sensor(23), a compressor sensor(24), and an illuminance sensor(25). The temperature sensor and the humidity sensor sense the temperature and humidity of refrigerator surrounding. The door sensing sensor senses the opening and closing of refrigerator door. The illuminance sensor senses the luminious intensity of the refrigerator surrounding. The control unit transmits the control signal for operating the ultrasonic generator by receiving the sensing signal of the sensing unit. The ultrasonic generator is operated if at least one sensing signal, which is satisfied among the temperature sensor, the humidity sensor, and the door sensing sensor, is transmitted in an operation stop state of compressor due to the compressor sensing sensor.
