<p>A mobile information terminal that changes various settings associated with reproduction of a moving image content based on a type of the content so as to reduce power consumption. The mobile information terminal starts a television in response to operation by a user, and receives a moving image content of a selected broadcast program, and EPG data. When a power saving mode is ON, the type of the program is judged according to the EPG data. Subsequently, a default frame rate is changed to a value that has been preset for the program type. Hence, the mobile information terminal reproduces the program at a suitable frame rate. Such a change may be made to settings other than the frame rate.</p> |
