PURPOSE: A polarizing plate and an image display device including the same are provided to reduce a failure rate and to improve productivity in a manufacturing process by unitizing a phase difference film in the polarizing plate. CONSTITUTION: A water-based adhesive layer(340) sticks a liquid crystal layer(330) and a polarized light device(350). The liquid crystal layer of a phase difference film(370) is adhered to the water-base adhesive layer, and is contacted with the liquid crystal layer, an alignment layer(320), and a transparent substrate in order. The alignment layer contacts with the liquid crystal layer. The alignment layer is contacted with a base film(310), induces an alignment of the liquid crystal, and includes an adhesive force reinforcement.
