<p>The invention relates to a foamable composition containing at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polyvinyl butyrate, polyalkyl methacrylate and copolymers thereof, a foam former and/or foam stabilizer and diisononyl terephthalate as plasticizer, wherein the average degree of branching of the isononyl groups in the ester is in the range from 1.15 to 2.5.
