PURPOSE: An automatic splice device of a protecting film and a method are provided to prevent fault generation by consecutively and rapidly supplying the protecting film and by easily lining up the protecting film in manufacture of a multi film. CONSTITUTION: An automatic splice device(200) of a protecting film(122) comprises a first and a second absorption member(240a,240b), a cutting member(244), a first and a second contact roll(242a,242b), and a taping member(250). A used protecting film and a new protecting film(222) are individually absorbed with absorption members when all of the protecting film in use is exhausted. A pair of the cutting member cuts an end of the used protecting film and a front end of the new protecting film. The second absorption member moves the first absorption member in order to touch a cutting part in an arranged state. The protecting films individually wrap the contact roll and are connected to each other with the taping member. |
