PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING EXTRACT OF DS SHOWING AN INHIBITORY EFFECT OF MELANIN SYNTHESIS

PURPOSE: A composition containing a crude drug extract of DS as an active ingredient is provided to suppress melagnogenesis, tyrosinase activity, and expression of TRP-1 and TRP-2 tyrosinase, and PKC-beta and MITF genes, and to be used for skin whitening and anti-wrinkling. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition or skin whitening contains 0.1-50 wt% of a crude drug extract as an active ingredient, including Angelicae gigantis radix, Bupleurum falcatum, Paeoniae radix alba, Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, Poria cocos wolf, Moutan cortex radicis, Gardeniae fructus, Glycyrrhizae radix, Menthae herba, and Zingiberis rhizoma recens in a weight ratio of 1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5:1-5. The extract is prepared using water, C1-C4 alcohols, or a mixture thereof.
