An electronic device charging system is provided with: an electronic device (2) equipped with a power reception control unit (21) that receives power in contactless state and charges a rechargeable battery (241) on the basis of the received power, and a system control unit (22) that controls the power reception control unit (21); and a charger (3) equipped with a power transmission control unit (30) that creates power to be supplied to the electronic device (2) from an AC power supply, and transmits the power to the electronic device (2) in contactless state. The system control unit (22) stops, when the battery voltage of the rechargeable battery (241) exceeds a first threshold value, charging of the rechargeable battery (241) while letting the power transmission from the charger (3) be continued, then sets a CPU (23) to a sleep state, sets the discharging current of the rechargeable battery (241) to be not more than a prescribed current value, and executes OCV measurement, and after that, restarts the charging, and stops the charging when the battery voltage of the rechargeable battery (241) exceeds a second threshold value. |
